This one leaves me speechless. It is everything you mentioned in the Description. It is also technically, very close to perfection. The gradation of light to mid-tone color values in the sky and background foliage is anchored by the massive foreground blackness of the tree trunk that still holds a bit of life and whimsy, in the form of green and golden yellow leaves that seem to sprout from it's side. That same tree trunk morphs into an equally black, but lacy park bench, set on a dark gradient of brown with small splashes of orange and tan leaves that echo the color of the water.
The coloration is exceptional and the subject is very evocative. Cropping/framing and exposure are superb!
Although this photo is beautiful, sometimes beauty is not enough. This photo is wrenching, mysterious and insular. It exacts a toll on the senses and emotions of the viewer, who like all of us, lives in that mist between want and need. I think we can all, see ourselves on that bench.
I would love to see this photo every day, hanging across from my desk.
You express yourself very well through words, my friend, but with a camera in your hands, you are a magical being.

I'm glad I was able to express so much with such a simple shot. One of the few things that keep me going is that on dA people really listen to what I'm trying to say. It's a great feeling and the only thing I want is to keep doing this out of passion and from the heart.
