Thank you very much! It's tough to get smooth line art with traditional methods, so it makes me happy to hear that.

You know, I saw this, and loved it, and realized that, "D'OH!" Forgot to comment!
I love your work, really truly. Love to see little Henry! But if I could make one teeny tiny comment, I think it could be something new to try. The only thing I noticed about this is mainly the chin. From my experiance with playing around and observing, chibis tend to look better with a much less defined chin, cause it makes the face more rounded and cute. Another thing to try is making the neck a little wider, or ever a little shorter. All depends on the style you're going for.
I don't know, that's just my opinion. I still really truly love this picture of him! If you're offended in any way, just disregard what I said.

What IS your icon from?
Awww Jekyll is cute. Jekyll and his pimp cane, watch out! (I'd say, if the body is supposed to be at a fairly constant proportion, make the neck smaller.)
I'd say either Endling or Bleedman?

Ah--well you should see Bleedman, because he has a similar coloring style.
Yes, but I still want to know where I can watch this. XD

Yes they do, you're very right. But Endling has a peculiar affinity for gradients, which combined with good color choice, make his shading something subtle and complex, with bits melting into one another, even though seperate pieces. Bleedman, on the other hand, tends to keep his shading blocked off into sections, or painted style. He does make use of gradients, but his color changes don't have the subtlety that Endling's do.

YAY! <--Standard Beebo Response.
I was so stoked to see the title "Chib Jekyll" in my inbox, you've no idea. And I'm so glad to see some J&H luv again! ^^
For some reason I just love the way you did the pocket watch in this one. The little stylistically spaced beads and it just peeking over the rim of his pocket, when it could have been easier to not draw the watch itself at all. That little effort makes me smile, and we all know how Henry lurves his pocket watch, right? X3
As for a minor critique, I do love how you've done his eyes altogether--a big yay for Determined Men of Science!--but I feel the color in the irises themselves is a bit flat. Perhaps something of a broader blend with different shades of blue? *feels inadequate at picking at others' work*
Still, this whole thing is loverly and definitely fav worthy! Punkrockchick24 should be proud. *knowing smile*

You did do a really lovely job on this and you should be proud! As for color critique, personally I think the light spot on his head and the lighter gray around it seem off, I really prefer that hair shines show the direction of the hair, so the plopped down shades up there don't look as nice just because of the texture that hair is.
However on the outfit and cane I really love how the shading looks when it's really drastic like that. I think shading is most nice when it's texture based, so make sure you always think about the texture and how it would affect the shines and shadows.

He's so cute! And very Jekyll-like. I was considering doing a Jekyll chibi myself. Nah, this cannot be beat.

Nooooo! It's a wonderful compliment, but never let anyone else's artwork dissuade you from your own creations. After all, chibis can be drawn doing anything, in any pose or situation, so two pieces of the same character in chibi can be radically different, and certainly not compared to each other just because of the chibi-ness. Besides, I'd love to see your chibi Henry. Please don't decide to not draw him!

Looks great! Love the fade to black on the shoes. Chibis are difficult. That's why mine are... Pez dispensers. xD
Anyway, I'm digging the art and colouring style. But I will never guess who's it is, so... C'mon. Tell me. x3
