Description Tack examples for the Vahsi breed. You can learn more about them here .

The above designs are just general examples of Vahsi tack. There is no set "importer" of tack and so it is up to you to get your own, either by having it custom made for you or by making your own. Tack designs do not need to be approved by us as it's not required that your Vahsi wear "Vahsi tack".

The reasons for the split in tack designs are by this point obsolete, but below you can learn about not just the defining features of each set, but a bit of history as to why they look that way.

COMMON TACK

This was, and still is, the tack for the everyday man.
The tack itself is very simple. Its is lightweight and designed so the animal can cover distances very quickly in the hot desert.
The saddle and bridle are constructed in light, handmade leather. Many Vahsi owners choose to attach saddlebags and other necessities such as blankets to their saddle so they can be easily accessed.
The most colorful part of the tack is the blanket. It was traditionally hand-woven and colored by homemade dyes and could have a variety of patterns and colors. Some owners still have their blankets custom made, using the traditional methods. Others go for less flashy designs or incorporate their own history into the weave, such as by using Native American designs.
Some owners will also choose to wrap their Vahsi's legs in order to avoid injury, although this is not shown above.

The bottom line is that Common Tack is lightweight, durable, and plain-looking, good for a working horse in a harsh environment.

ROYAL TACK

Royal tack was reserved for those of higher status, such as nobles and kings. This tack was, and still is, used in parades and other events.
Royal tack is much more elaborate than Common tack. The leather is better made and many decorations adorn it. It is not uncommon to see a lot of fringe, cloth, beads and other things hanging from the tack. Royal tack can even be more detailed then the example given. It is usually very colorful and elaborate.
This set is not intended for extended use and so is not meant to protect the animal but is rather just for show, such as the inclusion of a headpiece made of embroidered cloth.
The royal tack doesn't include a blanket because the underside of the saddle is very soft so a blanket is not necessary for the animal's comfort.

The bottom line is that Royal Tack is highly decorated and flashy, intended for showing off both the Vahsi and its owner's wealth.

Again, we'd just like to reiterate that your imported Vahsi will not come with tack, nor is it required they have it! This is just a suggestion based on Vahsi history and culture, and is meant to be used as a springboard for your own tack ideas.
