Here's a brush set that contains basic rendering brushes, as well as custom brushes I've made. Feel free to use them in any of your personal and professional work, and of course I highly encourage you to make your own
Made in Photoshop CS3, they should work in previous versions and of course will work in CS5 & CS6.

it might be Safari that is the problem...try using Chrome or Firefox. It's a small file, so it shouldn't be causing any problems.

When you are using the brush tool, go to the little pull down menu with all your brushes. On the side, there should be a pull down menu that says 'Load New Brushes'. Then you just have to locate the brush file.
If you goodle it, I'm sure you'll find way better advice than I can give. XD
