I'm no where near LA, I'm just outside of Seattle.
I was curious, looking through your impressive gallery- you use such vibrant colors- do you work in colors DURING the creation process, or do you work in black and white and color once you've got your image set? I've always envied the concept artists-I would love to be able to create new alien worlds.

most of the time I start with a very low saturated palette, as colors can build nicely that way...the problem with starting b&w is when
you convert to color, it takes a bit of extra work, so as not to have that 'converted from b&w look'!

You know... I would love to see you paint your own version of the Space Jockey 'derelict' ship from ALIEN in this style. For some reason the biorganic with the transparent look would be perfect for Ridley's prequel.

I think the cloud behind the head lookin thingy kinda kills the solidness of the structure.
