He's in the same thing as Tin the cat and Xavier the magician: [link]

Deru appears to be around 16, but in all actuality he is a man who should have died thousands of years ago.
As a magician, he already would have had a rather long life span, but he pressed his luck and was first cursed to live forever, and then, about 500 years ago, fell prey to a curse that turned his forever middle aged body into that of his teenage self~
He can't use magic anymore, either, which sucks for him. Physically, although not mentally, he's nothing more than a kid.

He talks with a tinge of Oxford, and occasionally slips into dead languages. :>
I love him, he's so cute.... ;>>
