Heyho! Here's another commercial illustration I did for Legends of the Cryptids.After experimenting a bit with different techniques like 3D bases or photo textures & references last year I've gone back to what feels most natural to me, pure painting from imagination. I enjoy it so much more and the look it gives my work is so much more consistent and smooth. It may be a bit slower but I feel it's worth it, especially since this painting is the first in quite a while that I'm happy with.

Awesome piece! It shows you're having fun with your new/old approach. It is in our roots and how we trained. Using all these fancy tricks takes away our full control we like so much. I am saying 'we' because I can totally relate to that. Don't stop posting
