yeah, but i mean... do they "see" the way other animals do or is it some kind of sensory that we can't comprehend?
this photo in particular - it looks like the eye is just molded out of the head rather than being a separate organ.

I'm not exactly sure on that. Β I would think that they way the see is similar to how other animals see, but not exactly the same.
