Pretty good for an early sculpt! He's actually a tough character for all of his simple design.
By the way, the guys that did the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie are doing a CG Movie of Astro Boy for the Japanese. They're probably the only ones who could get it right!

Thanks man, Yeah, one of the wierd things about Astro is the hair is always showing both spikes from like every position. I actually referenced some small Gashapon figures as just about every other Japanese sculpt of him kinda sucks, this one is based mostly on the late 90's redo of the series.
Yeah, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good movie.

Astro's hair was created much like Mickey Mouse's ears. It was never really meant to be seen in three dimensions, but as you've shown, it can be done.
