Description Detail of [link] .

I'll probably move this to scraps eventually, but the bottom worked surprisingly well as a standalone. I actually considered scrapping the whole top part for a while there...but then I might've cried from all the wasted time'n effort. ;__; And now ya'll can be horrified by my haphazard brush strokes. This is only 25% zoom though, so it's not too scary.

THESE WOODS ARE KIND OF UM REALLY GORGEOUS. WHAT THE HELL MAN this is like a super lovely intricate watercolor painting or something. Guhh. I love how its white against brown in some areas but then brown against white in others~ nice painterly work *O*

Thanks, man. It means a lot, coming from you. ;_; Browns'n reds!

I'm actually a little surprised with all the comments on the watercolor...I feel like I haven't a clue what a real watercolor painting would look like. Must explore~

I love it! The painting looks just like a watercolour, I thought it was one at first. The mood is perfect.

Now I don't know which one to fave - this, or the full one

Anyway, the bottom part is an illustration in its own right (at least for me, but not for the story).
I like the delicate branches on the trees, too.

Thank you so much! I finally sent you an email about the story. Sorry for the lateness~ ;_;

Well, for haphazard strokes, the trees (and other plants) look very realistic.

Even though I like a lot of colors, this piece has caught me instantly.
The lighting reminds me of a dream I once had...

Incredible atmosphere.

Ah, I'm glad you enjoy the limited palette...it's something I struggle with (I also like lots and lots of colors, ahhg). Thanks!

You're most welcome!

I couldn't help but notice the aspect ratio here is pretty close to 16:10, like, say, for a 1440x900 desktop...

Just saying...

Hahaha, I'm sorry I'm so behind on comments. Would you really like another desktop version? XP

Also, we did not see you ALL SEMESTER. How was your first real Rhode Island experience?

Yes plz

And yeah, I was disappointed about that. We should get together sometime during wintersession, when everyone's workload has died down a bit.

I still had a lot of fun, though. I've met a lot of interesting people here, and I'm genuinely upset to be leaving now—not that I'm unhappy to be going home. I feel like I've done a lot to stay active this semester, especially considering how light my schedule was. Next semester should be pretty hectic, though. I have five heavy classes and a job to keep me busy, but I'll find ways to get away from it.

How were things on your end? Sarah came online for the first time in months a couple days back and basically vented her restlessness all over me.

Haha, I'll email it once I figure out sizing.

Yahh, we were super dead. ;_; Somehow, our sophomore year was harder than foundation year. Poor Sarah had a crazy amount of work...and most of it the kind of thing I'd (as an illustration major) gouge out my eyes rather than do. Organizing designs and collages into books? Typography? Arggg. But yah, I imagine she'd be all freaked out now that there's no work to be done.

Glad that you really enjoyed your first semester, and kept busy in spite of the light schedule. Interesting people are always...well, usually good. XD And it figures that you're going to get busy just as we become unbusy... ~_~ Ah, well. I'm sure we'll find time during wintersession. I'm only taking one Liberal arts class for six weeks, 'cause as sophomores we picked late...not much left. It'll be a relief, though. This last semester was DOOM. The workload was overwhelming, even (or especially) for a workaholic like me. @_@

Haphazard indeed. But this picture is definitely breathtaking. I can almost feel the warm rays of the sun and I very much like the precise and beautiful branches of the trees. instafav
