I called it love spell but I don't think Sophie really needed it hehe.I had a lot of fun working in this, I completely LOVE the movie and think that they are an awesome pair, I think Miyazaki and studio chibli did a great job!
Mixed and match... kept him with his blond hair and his awesome patch jacket
Howl and Sophie don't belong to me, they belong to the writer Diana Wynne Jones and studio chibli, I am just having fun with romantic thoughs in my head!
The things you see in my drawings were painted by me, and my own brush/pattern creations, and photo used for reference for the mountains were taken from me.

Thank you so much! I love the book as well and though about giving Sophie reddish blond hair but ended just giving her the silver hair at the end since I saw the movie before reading the book!

Hmm... I like the pose, very dynamic and floaty. The background has so much detail, which is nice! I also really like the poppies in the foreground, I think it's a great splash of bright compared to the muted cool tones in the background.
I also think the green is an interesting color for a love spell, but you've really made it work, especially with the red flowers! It's definitely not a traditional "love spell" color, but that's actually something it really has going for it. I think I would find pink or red too cliche.
My one critique is that I don't think there could be a greater variety of texture on the actual figures.

I agree with you, I wish I had put some more textures on both of them, at the end I was so ready to move on that I left it how it ended.
Probably will add some more in my next one which might be Mononoke or Ponyo, haven't decided yet!

The colors give great atmosphere to the picture, and the shadings are great, too. It's so romantic and magical.^^ And Howl looks hot!
