Description Reenactments of chariot races continue to be held in Jerash, Jordan, on the site of the ancient Roman city of Gerasa. At the far end, you can see the starting gates, only ten instead of the usual 12.

i wonder if, 2000 years from now, people will tour Pittsburgh and look with such wonder on our civilization's ruins; i wonder if we will leave anything that they can still use.

It's hard to say. I've decided that at least four things will exist long after our civilization is gone: cockroaches, pigeons, McDonald's, and KFC. Perhaps those things will be exotic to future archaeologists.
