Lovely painting!
A few years ago a lovely fox cub like this came up to me in the garden, making little crying noises. It was clearly lost and in distress, but seemed otherwise quite well. I was just in time to rescue it from the attentions of a neighbour's Alsation dog! The RSPCA said that I should leave it and that its mother would find it (the dog was shut in the house!). At the time we had a noisy building site next door so I doubted that its mother would approach. After spending a few hours wandering around our garden, snoozing at intervals, it was taken to a rescue centre after it went across the road and was seen by another family who also contacted the RSPCA.

We also have foxes in our neighborhood. The most bizarre thing about them is their call at night. It sounds like mix of owl and monkey. when we heard it first time, it was so strange that even our dog was listening instead of barking.
