In 1897 Walter Schield and his family move to the town of Dawson in despair of money and in hopes of finding gold. Walter Schield starts his new job as a prospector. But soon after he starts hearing rumours of a wendigo killing people during the night. Thinking people's imaginations are just running wild he decides to let the topic be until a young girl is found torn apart. Walter Schield fearing for his daughter's safety and unable to leave his job gets tangled to find this lunatic before another victim comes.
