I'm posting this to prove I'm not dead -_-Uhm... I actually submitted this for part of my RISD application (I really hope I get in! ><
. SO DON'T YOU DARE STEAL IT. It belongs to me, RubyHawk, and yeah. Anyway, it's 16" by 20" and on throw-away paper. Done in nothing but graphite (aka shiny pencil-like objects).
Let's see... what else to say about this thing... It took me a long time to draw? And I like how it turned out for once. Gasp! Designing this landscape was incredibly hard, and I think I'd like to do some cool landscapes in the future.
Yeah. O_o

I'll think about it; I read the contest, its rules, and whatnot, but I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for in the cover. I understand you want the two main characters and a background, but what exactly is the setting of this book? What kind of background? There's a lot more context that I'd need to know...

Oh, I've never done a contest before or anything. lol, I always thought that it would better to know less details so that the artists could draw what they wanted, but I suppose that I'll need to post up some more excerpts from my book, or a basic summary. I'll post another one by the end of this week. Let me know if it helps or not. I'll keep posting links in the author's notes section of the contest rules Deviation thingy. Thanks for taking the time to check it out though.

I can't believe we have to wait this long. But I am kinda scared to get my letter.

I applied to MICA, Parsons, Art Institute of Chicago, Otis, and RISD (duh ^_^). Well those are the art schools I applied to anyway.

They are both really small. Moore is an all girls school in philly. Started out doing textiles. I applied to MCA just because they were at my Portfoilo day and gave me a fee wavier.
