well, how can you tell that he likes levy? i think either gazille is stupid not for him to notice she likes him, or he only treats her like nakama so its really confusing for now..only my perception though, yet i have a weird direction in reading the manga, i do it randomly or backwards..XD

I can tell it, because :
1. he protected her. Why he protected her?? Because he felt guility. And then, there shows up a question - why only for her?? dammmnit, what about Jet and Droy? or Lucy?? or Reedus?? even Mirajane 
2. he thinks she's amazing. let's face it - Gajeel, being psychopatic killer don't give any damn attention to things which cannot hit his hot face (yay xD). Levy has never touched him. She hasn't even talk with him xF. And what - he saw her solving Frieds enchantment, without any strenght, any brutality. His first thought - "AMAZING. She can beat somebody ass without phisical contact. I'd never be able to..."
3. he doesn't want her to get hurt. he don't mind Lluvia and guys he knocked out during Phantom Lord arc. He saved Natsu, only because he needed his help to defeat Luxus. When she came to cathedral to stop Makarov's grandson, Gazzy yelled at her to leave. Why?? because he was terrified she would have died. He even made sure she was alright after Fairy Law.
4. we all know he watched her durin' Fantasia. from balcony
I fell for them in the moment when Gazzy crushed in her. I'm finished. And no one can change my mind
