Description
Long ago, there was a small family. The mother, the father, and their kits. Three little kits, and they all loved to play. Two of the kits were a bit more adventurous than the other, and they got into trouble. The third just wanted to be safe. But something terrible happened! A cave in occurred, and two of the kits became trapped. They were quickly rescued, and the third promised to keep an eye on hem. This brings us to now, when two kits, the cautious one, and the adventurous one, ventured outside their den to find an adventure. And find one they did!

Was it a shark? I bet it was a shark. It was a shark, right Sleetgaze?

Sorry for interrupting Sleetgaze...
Quite alright....now where was I?

They wandered to the sandy beach, and there they discovered a small six legged creature. They didn't understand this animal. Its back as hard, like a rock, and it had two huge claws at the front! The smaller, braver kit got close, and found his nose pinched painfully. The larger kit jumped to his rescue, hissing and spitting up a storm of sand as he shoved that animal back to the water! But the waves took him, and the smaller one watched as his brother was swept off the shore. He called for help once, twice, three times! But it seemed as if no one was listening! But then, there was a pounding sound, and a large cat ran past the brave little kit, jumping into the water and pulling the other out. As he placed the large kit by the other, they realized it was none oher than their uncle, the very leader of their clan! He scolded them something fierce, and escorted them back to their den. They were excited, telling their mother the things they saw. It didn't take the two kits long to fall asleep, worn out from the days adventure. The End

Sleetgaze looked at the two kits who had come to her nest for a story, and although she couldn't see them, the lack of movement she felt, and the severe silence that followed the story told her the two kits had fallen asleep near the end. She purred to herself, and lay her head down, content to just feel the warmth of the small bodies as she lay curled up in her large nest.
