Shinra everywhere...how did the world become so messed up so quickly? Rhetorical question of course we all know the answer: Thunder Strife. Yeah, the last name should sound familiar, his grandfather, Cloud, saved the world...twice. The first time pretty much went unoticed but the second, well they wanted to make him the ruler of Genova, but he refused. He married Tifa and lived happily ever after, unfortunately his daughter didn't have it so easy. Rain Strife's life was pretty much that of a fairytale until her parents died, then the world searched for new heroes, not just any heroes, they wanted another Strife, but Rain was a priestess until some Shinra exec with delusions of grandeur decided to make her his wife.
Maseo was a snake, but one without fangs and soon after he anounced his unwilling bride was pregnant, he was killed and civil war spread throughout Genova. The child, Thunder, was born in a bomb shelter and raised by those loyal to his father.
Years later Thunder Strife led his armies to victory, most laid down arms as he went from town to town but those who fought learned that he was every bit the grandchild of Cloud and Tifa. Thunder now rules with an iron fist and is anything but just. His hoarding of all the materia pretty much keeps everyone in check, but pretty much isn't all.
I was created in a lab spliced from DNA of another great Shinra warrior...Sephiroth the Fallen. Ironic that the 'child' of Sephiroth and Cloud would be at odds except this time on different sides of the battle field.
My job? Find the wild materia and arm a new band of heroes to take down Thunder Strife. So far it's just me versus Shrinra, Thunder Strife and his mystical summon beast...now only if the guys that made me had a chance to whip up some more 'family' or if one of them were still alive to tell me exactly how I'm supposed to do all this...still every life has a purpose and this one is mine.
