Description Okay, so I think this is pretty self-explanatory.
I was angry when this first happened and bored as well, so I decided to sit here with my mouse and draw a comic. Or rather, write a rant and add some pictures.
Totally over it now, but I love second 'anel' Nath who I am totally taking home and colouring.

Wow, nice screenshot, i love the way the dancing zombies accentuate your eyes.

But yes, epic fail on that point.

we need moar ANGRY face Nath XD
Dammit, you HAVE to tell names. Seriously, why does anyone want to get popularity and attention here? it's for the brainless fan minions, who mob together to protect even if you were the culprit... that's what we're here for, rite?

Almosee In reply to TaurusJ [2008-06-02 03:03:49 +0000 UTC]

But... with small amounts of power comes an equally small amount of responsibility to use my rabid fan(s)? for good

But seriously, I don't remember the idiots name. If I'd realized at the time that it wasn't against the rules to 'name and shame' then I would have written it down somewhere. Sadly, that boat has sailed.

TaurusJ In reply to Almosee [2008-06-02 04:54:41 +0000 UTC]

meh, I want my powers responsibility-free, please. Super powers light so to speak...

Eh, maybe it's for the better, it's cuts the time of back and forth drama to a minimum.

Man, I can totally see people at the superhero-supermarket line right now.
"And how would you like your powers today sir, it's $999.95 fot the super-hero pro package, but for a mere $199.95 you can have last years lite version, without any morals or ethical codes. Good for the beggining anti-hero or small time villian. You'll never get your own comic, but at least you'll get into the game"

TaurusJ In reply to Almosee [2008-06-04 14:11:11 +0000 UTC]

Or you can start up taking hero commissions if you're good. You know, the usual, saving a damsel in distress, catching bank robbers...
What? You gotta start small, before you can play with the big boys. XD

I know, right?

FenrisDesigns In reply to Almosee [2008-05-26 04:20:38 +0000 UTC]

Seriously, though, good point. There's a fine line between preventing theft and holding a party line.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Almosee In reply to FenrisDesigns [2008-05-26 13:38:30 +0000 UTC]

Yes, well, DA has never been accused of walking that fine line. They're either all in or all out. I do wonder if these people are just as vigilant in catching the art thieves. Even when I catch somebody red handed I try and be nice to them.
I guess it's my one true weakness, I just trust people too easily.

And woot for mob mentality and the towing of said party line

Bairn [2008-05-22 09:23:15 +0000 UTC]

who did it? and why did you take it down.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Almosee In reply to Bairn [2008-05-22 14:07:09 +0000 UTC]

Not mentioning any names (because that would be against policy) and because I don't remember
And I took it down because they were a wanna be admin douche who had reported me, so I didn't wanna get a banned or anything for the stupid thing.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Bairn In reply to Almosee [2008-05-24 10:09:43 +0000 UTC]

you could whisper it and we could make snide comments about their gallery.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Almosee In reply to Bairn [2008-05-24 10:14:20 +0000 UTC]

Yes we could, which would be fine, if I remembered their username. Sadly, no such snideness is to be had, because I don't remember it.

XThunder In reply to Almosee [2008-05-23 05:00:37 +0000 UTC]

actually when last I checked, it was no longer against policy to do that

the gist of it was that admins were lazy and didn't want to deal with everyones problems

correct me if I'm wrong pls D:

...because I've been being an asshole to idiots for a while now...and I'd rather not be able to get in trouble for yelling at a moron on some random page on DA...tee hee

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

TaurusJ In reply to XThunder [2008-05-31 18:50:23 +0000 UTC]

That's correct. I have no idea why they erased that from the policy, but my best guess is that they want to watch deviants rip each other apart.
Apparently, it's easier to ban an asshole than have the help desk deal with the bitching of these idiots...
well... it's the internets... known for its srs bsns...

Almosee In reply to XThunder [2008-05-23 08:10:26 +0000 UTC]

No, I was under the impression that is was okay also. And when I reread the rules it seemed to suggest, so long as it was clearly a screeshot (ie. toolbars were involved), then it was fine. But this douche was pretty nasty in his comment and had apparently reported me, so I just didn't want to take the chance.

Unless this is about the name thing, in which case, I think they still consider posting peoples names in a nasty context 'harassment'. Because people tend to link others in an attempt to get them flamed - which I think is still against the rules.

You need to rant more often Nat!

Did Chris show you the letter?

Almosee In reply to loneantarcticwolf [2008-05-22 14:14:46 +0000 UTC]

Some days, like today, I think I could write a million rants, but I tend to try and spare people.

And we talked about the letter, but no we didn't actually see it, even though I reminded him like 3 times to bring it. I'll get him to forward it on to the rest of us.

Ahahaa - I love it. I will have to listen to you rant more often

By the way, the tablet worked when I got it home, granted it was in paint but the funny lines weren't there so I assume that it's working to some degree.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Almosee In reply to ScumDrops [2008-05-22 14:18:32 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, but I tend to spare people my ranting, unless I suddenly find I have an hour free and I'm sitting at anything with a mouse attatched.

Oh my god, seriously? Maybe all the computer needed was a full shut down? I don't know why that would work, but hey, lets go with it. We'll have to talk to Chris about getting you a version of CS3 so you can fully work the wonder that is a pressure sensative tablet. Until then, I can probably install Flash MX for you, it's what I learned to work in and while it's not perfect, it does have stroke pressure support. Which is what you really want.

PS. You totally have to draw something in paint and put it up
