Wooooh, I think I'll just get this in on time for the contest at the club. Since it's only a new club the contest is to create an ID for them.I'm running behind on it because I couldn't come up with an idea for the image. Clearly it had to be Harry Potter related but the idea just wouldn't come to me.
But after much encouragment (ie. threats of uncoolness - check my front page
) from the mod I came up with this.God, can you believe that this is the first time I've drawn the golden trio? For such a huge HP nerd, I'm letting the side down. Harry was a lot easier to draw this time (since I've drawn him once before). But I appologise for Hermione... me and drawing girls... its an issue.
Why do Ron and Hermione look like people I know?
So yeah, when its time, you guys should totally go vote for my ID at the club, since its open to anyone... come on, you know you want to.
Anyway, a few notes:
- Tried something different with the shading, looks about the same as normal but was a lot quicker than what I usually do.
- The original image of the trio is HUGE so I might slap a BG on it in the next few days and upload it.
- Harry's clothes are based off the Goblet of Fire video game which I am a huge fan of, if only for the great gaming sessions I've had with Emily and Neil in multiplayer.
- Ron's hair is based off an old promo shot of Rupert Grint (I believe it was from Chamber of Secrets)

Yeah, PoA's proabably my fave as well. Although Ootp is pretty cool as well.
I maintain that everybody's hair in GoF was way to long - it was like a Beatels flashback.

Yeah, I was going to say the twins look pretty good with long hair.
Harry's the one that gets me - they've never done Harry's hair right. It wasn't mussy enough in the early ones. It was too long in GoF and it was too short in Ootp.

Even if we say the films are set in the 90's, as would be correct, hair was not that bad in the mid-late 90's ><

Well see that balances out, because I really suck at drawing flowers. I try, but they all end up looking like a four year old drew them.
