Description Full: The constant return of the instant

Die ständige Wiederkehr des Augenblicks (Orginal)

Woot people. Finally it’s done. This is probably the most concrete piece I’ve ever created.

The orginal size is 55 cm to 100 cm. The psd File is about 1 GB. Maybe 400 to 600 layers (though merged!) And yep you’ll guess, Hours!!! of work.

For those who look at art seriously and like to interprete this piece (which is indeed not easy at all):

Maybe it appears somewhat wild and strang (well it is strange) but thought the whole work was very well planed. Each element bases on another. Each intention can not be understood without regarding the whole piece in detail.

P.S
I want a surrealist section!

Hey, I'm just randomly checking out other people's surreal works...this is fascinating! Reminds me a bit of Dali, with overtones of Bosch, too.
Many interpretations could be placed on this work-and the religious imagery-but it particularly attracted me because I've been reading a lot of Tanith Lee lately. She has a series of stories based on the idea that jesus is just a modern interpretation of the God of the Wood.In Arthurian legend,he's known as the Fisher King: a young man is bled & tortured(sorry to gross you) but his blood & sacrifice bring fertility & life to the Wasteland...I wondered if a similar legend inspired this piece? This is such a great work on so many levels;I'm greatly impressed by your photomanip skills!

Thx alot for this fine comment. I appreaciate when people really try to understand my works.
There is no connection to any legend. It all based on my very own feelings and fantasy.

Just took a look at your galerie:
Your painting skills are fantastic too!

wow!
i'm really surprised more people haven't added this to their favs...cos i'm about to...
it does look very symbolic of christ, but i prefer not to analyse art too much...i think people try to analyse things too much, and break them down into simple things when they're not simple, and try to build them up into complicated things when they *are* simple
instead, i'll just say wow!
oh, i already did...
anyway...yeah, this really shows off your photomanipulation skills as well as your imagination, great piece of work!

Are you a Christian? I am just wondering... this is like a transcendant image of the Christ.

I have on my 2 feets a scar like a nail once went through my foot. But thats because I once went bare feet with sandals, and the iron of them cut into the flesh. But sometimes I crack jokes on it For instance if I go swimming and people ask what it is I tell I have the stigmatas of the Christ

.
i am a "new" fan of dali and still, i immediately recognize elements here that are very "dali-esque" - a radical portrayal of the crucifiction, floating fruits, crutches, etc.

man, i could just imagine how much work this took. the resulting art is of course, outstanding. thanks for sharing this.

peace.

Holy crap...I can't imagine working on that many levels, and for the amount of time it must have taken.

Photo manipulations are hard to come up with let alone to continue to mold in such a way. You did an incredible job with this. It's so beautiful and it's not your average cheesy manip. I really hope you feel it was worth your time, because I certainly think so. You did an amazing job!

The color, the mood. Its so intense! I am falling in love with it already. I cant believe you have out done yourself again. Great Work! I am sending you my interpretation via note. So be ready, I think it will be a good one . Talk to ya later m8.

this touches my imagination brain cells on so many levels. I get a sense of puppets...and lives being controled in some way..if thats true or not i don't know....but i think the link between the jesus theme and the way God controlled him has a part in this...

im not a pro and YES...ther shoudl be a surrealist section !!

Thx for your comment on The constant return of the instant

The fav is much appreciated. Glad you like it. Well the interpretation is right in a way! The Jesus-God connection indeed is obviously. But you can invert all the elements and then the whole piece gets a new conception.

As I said this piece was very well planed.

Thx again
