Good GRIEF this took forever to finish
At least 7 hours just to shade and make the background, not including how many weeks it sat in a folder in my laptop half finished. Good news is I learned a new way to shade (HUGE thank you to my teacher for that 
), and I think I like this method better than my old one. Still needs a lot of work but that's what practice is for ^^I don't really know what's going on in the pic... just wanted to draw Amber and Adrianna in the same scene together even though it doesn't happen (...at least until the next fic
). The rose is also significant but more symbolic really. Read this first fav.me/d6x2q7a and then this fav.me/d6xdyo5 to get an idea what the rose stands for ^^ (both written by ) Also just kinda wanted to show the differences between Amber and Adrianna... which is basically that Adrianna has longer hair
For those who aren't familiar with the story, Adrianna is vampire Fane cel Rau's love, who was tragically killed centuries ago. Ever since then Fane has tried (and failed) to bring her back. Until he met Amber Mus. Although she wasn't the first doppelganger Fane tried to use to bring Adrianna back to life, Amber was the first one he succeeded with although it didn't last for long.... you know, I don't mean to influance any thought here, but I can
t help but feel you could do this in the story. just here me out. I know you said this is just a random picture and is only simboloc but I look at Kingdom hearts as being Symbolic too. and I could see these too side by side talking to each other but not phisicaly but an astroplain where their two sould meat here the 2 would discuss the recent, current and past events and whould share there fealing while in Limbo there meating in this Limbo effecting their emotions and choises later on when somehow brouth back.
But this is only my thought and something I may do if it was I.
This serves just a gooda purpose only being Symbolic too.
and If this Idea was only mentioned as an easter egg and nothing more I would be tickled.
Anyways, as one writer to another I'd thought I'd simply share how I see this. seeing on how there souls are suppose to be counterparts to each other. I still hope to see them come back atleast. and to simply have that alone will make me happy. all I said here was for amuseing purpose only. anyways great picture, your as excelent an artist as you are a wrighter. ^^ I tip my hat to you

Aw, funny you should say that because that was going to be a big part of the sequel, where their souls are now connected even more so after the events in Echoes 2 ^^ Amber can sense Adrianna's spirit especially strongly around Fane since her soul roams the castle after being freed from the necklace, and Adrianna communicates to Amber through her dreams ^^ That's part of why Fane goes after Amber again in the sequel, especially when he finds out she has such a strong tie to Adrianna. That and also to get revenge for thwarting his first plan

so there's going to be an Echoes 2? that sounds incredable ^^. that will be a fun read I bet. but what about Ratigan I must ask? what are your plans for him? or is that a suprise?

Er, well, Echoes 3 actually
Echoes in the Night= Echoes 1 (where Ratigan was the main villain)
Echoes in my Mind= Echoes 2 (the one with Fane)
Echoes of the Past will be the name of the sequel (Part 3) and will also center around Fane as the villain ^^
And I'm actually not entirely sure about Ratigan's fate yet. I have a sort of happy ending for him at the end of Echoes in my Mind, but he still might be a presence in part 3, just not sure yet

well I'm happy for him getting a happy ending.
Perhaps he could do buisness with Basil in the future. he'd be the Type we know he turn bad again but just doesn't do it yet.
but thats just me I suppose. I liked how you portrayed in Echos in the night so mutch I can still picture him being a better Villian than at anything else.
However I would of never gotten into vampires until I read your work and to be honest I still prfur your vampires over any other. so what's i'm saying is, a good Writer has plenty of Imagination and can make anythin work and you are a great Writer.
However you use Ratigan I bet it will be remarkable and fit him just well ^^
and I can't wait to see the rest of Echoes in my mind and the next sequial echoes in the past.
