While tallying all of Popstar, you notice things. Like how many "enemies" are actually really passive. Like how individual "enemies" of a species act completely different. Parasols are strange, aren't they? They seem both alive and not at the same time. I tend to pass them off as a prop. Unless parasols start actively chasing the player characters, it's kind of hard to see them as actually sentient.
Those waddle dees. Suicidal things, they are! Not as much as the couple living bomb enemies, but at least those guys have an excuse. Waddle dees... don't. They just don't care. Which makes it nice to see ones that bother to turn around instead of just walking off a cliff.

No kidding, some turn around if touch by enemie, others just jump off. They have such short lives.... Not for Banada Dee.

Bandana must have realized at some point that saving his kind isn't exactly the most valuable use of time, since he just outright joins Kirby in waddle dee genocide. Points to him for picking up arms instead of walking to his pointless death. One waddle dee truly waddles on!

Agreed. I usually go pacifist in Kirby games after my first 100% completion, but some of those waddle dees are just sad to watch. It's the pacifist run that really point them out. <-_-;>

Or fall on your head. At least one dee proves they're not all like that. And at least in RtD, some of them are genuinely just enjoying themselves. That's nice to see.
