outstanding...I love age-of-sail man-o-wars! while I'm not sure about the stuns'ls being used in storms, and may even be anachronistic (usually found on 18th-19th century ship-rigs, not on 17th century race-built galleons), it's a very dramatic picture (notice how far the lighthouse is tilted, indicating how much the man is heeled over...a 45-degree list must be playing havoc with the stores on board). the stormy sky, sea, and driving rain...and the moonlight is casting a shadow of the galleon on the waves in the foreground, very well done!

my pleasure, your effort shows! I used to build a lot of plastic models as a kid, and they used to have some spectacular box art, so I'm very fond of drawn/painted art of ships, airplanes, you name it! they always felt dramatic, like the artist put a piece of their soul into it, bringing the subject to life...that's something I miss when the box art is a photograph of either the model or the real thing
