Very beautiful! I'm amazed by all the detail and the fineness of the line work. Is this the Ghaleh Dokhtar near Firuzabad? I found this picture doing a google search for "Anahita". ^__^

Ghaleh Dokhtar, or the Maiden Castle, is a 1,800 year-old castle in Iran dedicated to the goddess Anahita. At least, according to Wikipedia. [link]

since when is it cheating to use tools. tools are there to be used. whom ever told you that it was cheating just wanted to hold you back and limit your option. never let that happen! explore your options and use whatever tool you can think of to make art. thats my advice.

Stunning. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!
I am going to make a guestimation that that this took at the very least 60 hours. The amount of detail in this is incredible.
Did you draw in graphite then pen? The way you draw shrubbery is so amazing. I've always discovered that hard to do. You drew shadows within shadows. I would not have thought of that.

I was thinking about drawing, but know what, so I decided to organize my gallery some and check out the galleries of my visitors. Having an artist such as your self is always a thrill for me when I look through your gallery. Illustrators are a special breed of artists. We pay attention to more details than fine artists. Illustrators make the best painters. You're an incredible illustrator.
"though when i look at it now there are thousands of things i would have done differently."
Artists are always there own worst critic.
It was awkward drawing my neighbor for about 5 minutes. But after that I just forgot that she was nude and proceeded to see details. Wasn't too much talking other than to instruct her into positions.

I can't describe how much I love the intricate details in this (assuming it's not done on REALLY huge paper).
It's quite... it's... all those arches... (stutters off, flabbergasted).

it's not very large. And it was very rushed because of the deadline. it was meant for a competition.

It doesn't look rushed to me. The lines look so neat and crisp, that it's hard to see any "rush" in there.
How did the competition go?

Persian mythology and ancient buildings. This was a school project a couple of years back. I would do things differently now. But this is a page of a comic book that i've been sitting on (not really working on) for a couple of years now.
