wooohoo, finally done!

This is my competition entry for 's comp here: .: Mini Contest - win 30 USD! (5 days left!):.
Today is the last day that I'd have time to finish it, so Ithought that I'd better get moving! Not everything is perfect, but I won't be around this weekend, so there wasn't as much time to refine things (anatomy what is that).

I read about the Umalyns, and how they're quite social, and so I imagined them going on a little day trip together, to the top of a mountain. The shortest path though isn't always the easiest, and Hystade isn't feeling all that sure about the jump. The rest of the Umalyns continue cheerfully on, while Chroma and another hang back to encourage Hystade over.

This picture was also a bit of a challenge. I wanted to create an intereting image without relying on tropes like a sunset/stars etc. I've got mixed feeling about its result. I'm reasonably happy with it, and I simultaneously hate it XD Basically, some parts worked out, some didn't no matter how hard I tried, and in other cases I simply ran out of time, so it doens't look great, but I'm happy with what I did with the time that I had. Critiques though (maybe less on anatomy particularly on the background characters) are very appreciated. Particularily paint overs, because I have no idea how colour works.
