Princess Tutu fanart featuring Fakir and Ahiru and done in a style sort of like Matsuri Hino ( mangaka of "Meru Puri" and "Vampire Knight").

(This starts my upload of old sketches that I hadn't posted here before. There's quite a few of them, but not a ton, so I'll probably upload one a day or something. Anyway...)

I always loved the fancy style of clothes Matsuri Hino draws her characters in a lot. So I thought...Hmm. What if I do one and make up fancy-shmancy clothes for them to wear? XD And that's how this was born. I had WAY too much fun designing their clothes, particularly Fakir's. XD I kept doing more with the cape design and was having fun with it, so... This was a real blast to do. They're like a Knight and Princess here. XD And Fakir's ponytail is kind of hidden behind and inside the collar of the coat. You can sort of see a little bit of it and the tie for it on the left side of his neck there. And I wanted to put Ahiru's hair down again, since I think it's really cute that way. ^^ And although this was meant to follow Hino's style, I ended up doing some weird things with my own style in it cause I was having fun. XD; Yeah. I think they look really good together in this shot. <3 It was a really fun style to try and imitate.
