The Magnite is an insect that feeds on electricity. It originates from the planet Vespe, a small planet that exists perpetually in an electrical storm.

Their sizes vary, depending on how much electricity they consume. They tend to latch onto a surface where electricity is present and continue to grow indefinitely as they consume electricity.

Travellers have long taken advantage of the Magnite's ability to absorb electricity from the air in order to provide safe passage through Vespe's stormy terrain.

However, due to the Magnite's sneaky tendency to leave the eggs of its offspring in tricky places, these travellers would often find Magnites growing on their ship's sources of power.

For a long time, this would tend to happen after it was too late and, as a consequence, the Magnite has been exported all over the galaxy.

The Magnite can be found on almost every visited planet and are considered a pest everywhere outside of their native planet.
