It's an excellent likeness, and the unfinished aspects add to the "lost in thought"/ "what is one man in the universe?" mood suggested by his pose and expression. I could not be more taken with this.

This actually looks better unfinished, it's an unusually introspective look for Kirk, I love this so much.

I love this partly finished look and the way  Kirk's gaze focuses on the hand, which is the most finished element in the pic is lovely.
