Description
White Dragon Horse from "Journey to the West" (16th century Chinese novel). He was originally a dragon prince living in the Sea Palace. After he set fire to a pearl gifted by the Jade Emperor in a rage, he was banished and locked up in a small lake as punishment. Goddess Guanyin took pity on him and instructed him to transform into a horse for the Tang Monk to ride on his journey to the Western Heavens for Buddhist scriptures. Upon completing the journey, he was rewarded by the Buddha who ordained him as the "Dragon Horse of the Eight Heavenly Sections". He turned back into a dragon and wrapped his body around one of the Western Heavens' pillars.

Materials used: yarn in white, black, gray; fiber fill; plastic mesh canvas for bottoms of his feet; strong wires to support the legs; dark thread and felt for his eyes.

He's about 18" long (from head to butt) and 22" tall (from head to foot). No pattern.
