i soo wanted to learn martial art..but theres not much institution around....also city life is so bad that i have to run all the time from one work to another....i soo wish i cud get a chance to learn in a more peaceful place...and concentrate with art....dream life.....lol...no idea why am saying this here....but i like ur id very much

Life is hard nowadays but I wish you that happens because it's too good to practice MA (You can train, in the same time, body and mind too)!!

yes..there was a time that i wanted to leave study and go to china....specially shaoling to learn kung-fu....but well ppl thot i have gone crazy...lolll....but oh well...i sure wish i get a chance someday....

I've learned Kung fu Wushu for 5 or 6 years and now I'm focus on handling weapons and specially Nunchaku (I even participated to the Chuck Off 2013) !!

i never learned any part of any martial art...in school tho i did attend sports and was good at it...but i sure wish to learn..also its a great way to self defense.....and i think girls shud learn it ....its really beneficial for us..but well..nobody else feels that way i guess...but it seems u are good at it..learning for so long time....its really great...where r u learning from? ur locality? some school for kung fu?

That's very good thinking because we never know when danger will come!! So preparing yourself to this eventuality learn you how to react if you're attacked!! I agree that Girls should practice MA!! I actually follow 2 badass girls: Chloe Bruce (practicing Tang Soo Do) and Jade Xu (praticing Wushu)!!
About me, I learnt it at Sacré Coeur High School (not far to my house in Dakar/Senegal) and I know one or two stuffs: Kicks and punches, some Taos (shadow boxing like Katas in Karate), some self-defense technics!! I also learnt some Jiu Jutsu and Kali escrima technics!!
About handling weapons (Nunchaku, Bo, Saber, Kali), I learnt it myself so it's a freestyle handling

Kali is an indian godess' name too u know....i drew her as well here: according to the stories she is dark blue colored goddess and fierce warrior.... but for the first time I heard a weapon called kali...wish i cud know them more

Haha, that's not the same (very nice illustration, by the way)!! In Kali Escrima (Filipino MA), practitioners use many weapons like knives, nightsticks, sticks...
But the sticks, in this MA, can be called Kalis (perhaps in the filipino language, stick means Kali

there are many places to learn...but not in my city...even those schools we have those are not good..and mostly for boys..not girls....so its a big problem....
i didnt know of kali..and its awesome how something entirely different has same name...thanks..i get to learn something new...

yah it aint cool...but if u read news about my country u will know how it has becoming for girls here....so pathetic....guys (not all though) here really ill treat girls...and always discriminate....i hate that...i get out my anger thru art..and it reliefs me to some extent of all these....also girls' security has become very less these days ...so its kinda aweful place to live for women...ughh i shud not be bad mouthing my own land..but am tired of seeing all these injustice.....protests have been made but not enuf....
its great that u participated in it...and i wish u good luck in future too....am glad to see u r having a very constructive work out....just a suggestion...if u get chance...teach it to some girl who cant afford or have no way to go to an MA school..tho u said both grls and guys get good classes there..but still if u meet someone...please teach her something for her own independence....may be that way i will know one more girl can be courageous in this odd world....but yah i sure wish i cud join u and other MArtists....

Yeah I've already heard some events about this but the young woman's rape of december 2012 has revolted me!! Because I dunno how and why these men (not men but cowards instead) can do that unhuman act to this woman?? This fact put me in a anger that I can't describe!!
Hope that the situation will be more equal quickly between genders with laws for parity and protests but mentalities should be change before in the men side (they should accept that women aren't inferiors to them like a human, only thing they surpass women is physical strenght)!!
Thanks a bunch!! I'm favorable to teach some technics I accumulate but you know most of girls, in dakar, are interested in music, dance, studies (some of them told me that they want me to teach them MA but they say that only for joking or make me happy) and those who are interested in MA already go dojos but I promise you if I meet girls who want learn MA, I'll give them courses!!
I wish you find it and be an awesome Martial Artist too (I see you've will and that gonna be fundamental for great and quick improvements)!!

oh u have no idea how it has become worse day by day....ppl think women are easy pray...every day when we open news we see brutal rape and murder of one woman or another...now a days we are scared to go out in the evening even.....frankly we even do not like to be around men here anymore...its really really bad situation..i know we should not say bad stuff about our own country...but ti has become like a mess....and no sign of decreasing anything....moreover it is increasing rapidly.....am so disgusted about this place and men here....ughhhh...i know ppl wud say all men are not same....but well i cant say everything to u in public..but if u know the cases we are seeing here...even u will think twice.....

It sucks to not being in security in your own country so it's understandable to beware in circumstances like that!!

police??? hahaha...most cases police dont even take or register....they refuse the vicitim...and in some states police blame victims.....and even more worse they give public statement like victim is lying and she is something sort of a hooker or escort....can u imagine? yess thats our police...even when victim is killed by the criminals police instead of catching the criminals sits and waits for the order from the political leaders.....ppl are loosing faith in police as well..if police were really active these crimes wont increase this much......

Wooooow, I don't knew that!! That's so unfair, they're heartless or what...?? By acting like that, indeed your police contribute a lot on the rise of insecurity!! Their purpose (normally) is to protect all citizens and goods in the territory... so why do they wait instructions from political leaders for act??
