Description Fast mini-painting
Media: Watercolours

I was not happy whit the squirrel in “forrest of dreams.” I just had to paint a picture whit better squirrel. The squirrel is a surprisingly hard animal to draw. I made many many sketches, but I wasn’t satisfied whit them at all. Especially the bigger pictures failed so badly that I didn’t want to paint them. The teeny-weeny sketches looked always so much better.

So I decided to paint two of teeny-weeny sketches. This one is the other one of them. The other one is “Light in the Dark.” It can be found in my gallery too.
The bigger character in painting was actually just 2 cm tall.

Hope you like it!

Mother has a stick with light to show the way for her kids, it seems.
It's quite heart-warming...

Thank you.
I painted this picture after the "forest of dreams". I wasn't happy whit the squirel in that picture and I really wanted to paint a picture whit better squirel. The little sketches worked out nicely, but I tented to mess whit the bigger sketches, so I decided to colout the little ones. This one too is a minipainting.

This is adorable. I love the way you use watercolors, especially the sketchy little pattern on the leaves.

Thanks
I'm glad you like it.
The sketchiness comes partly from the size of the picture. The whole picture was actually just a little bit over 6 cm tall. It is hard to make detailed work if the picture is so tiny.
