Ash from Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler / Dark Butler).Just a little colouring experiment. I did the skin colour by using only hard brushes.
I was watching this anime the other day and my mom saw this character and she was all like "that boy is so good-looking, draw him!" and I was like "lol ok, why not?
"Ash deserves more fanart simply because he's so pretty. 8D Though I was disappointed by the anime...

I think everybody loves the Undertaker and Snake or at least that's the impression I got from interacting with some Kuroshitsujji fans.

Grell is irritating, but can be funny sometimes. Not a good character, though. Only good for occassional comic relief.
Honestly, I don't remember the Kuroshitsuji anime all that well (I watched it when it came out about 11 years ago), but Ash/Angela were fascinating to me. I like this in anime that angels are often portrayed as not-so-pure while demons are often portrayed as not 100% evil.
I thought I'd had enough of Kuroshitsuji after watching season 1, but season 2 was oddly enjoyable because of Claude and Alois.

It's okay. It's not for everyone. I've actually lost my love for it a bit too. (I liked the anime more than the manga.) I only reall liked Season 1 to be honest, two episodes from Season 2, one episode from Season 3, and a handful of the OVA's. Oh, and the Book of Atlantic movie. But you're welcome!
Yes, the Undertaker is insanely popular ( however there's a very small portion of people that find him creepy). He actually ranked third most popular in an official poll. There was even a special chapter in the manga which featured all of the fans' favorite characters.
My pleasure! It's extremely difficult to find someone who shares these opinions! Boring Sebastian, interesting Ash/Angela, amazing Claude, and irritating Grell. That sentence alone would make most of the Kuroshitsuji fandom froth at the mouth in rage. XD
The non-standard portrayal of human society and the supernatural beings in Kuroshitsuji is what drew me into it. I love the anti-stereotypical tropes. I feel that most anime (media in general) always portrays humanity as innocent. In Kuroshitsuji, that wasn't the case whatsoever. There was no human character that was a 'hero'. There are no protagonists in Kuroshitsuji. (I find that heroes in media are overly optimistic and ideal about life and humankind.)
Regarding Ash/Angela, the Angel is actually a fallen one, so he/she might be considered an extreme case. In fact, Ash/Angela was called "The Angel of Massacre" in the finale episodes.Β However, given the standard for Kuroshitsuji, it's possible that all Angels are not so perfect. And that's true that demons aren't the stereotypical evil beings either.Β
I personally feel that they should've ended the anime once Season 1 concluded. The finale was perfect and the goal was achieved - Sebastian consuming Ciel's soul. This is where we differ.......I didn't care much for Season 2. If it wasn't for Claude (and Hanna), I would've dropped it entirely.

i love sebastian. i might seem like the typical sebby fangirl, but trust me, im not.
i dont love him just because hes a sexy beast. i love him because if his efforts, loyalty, and i feel for him, because since hannah turned ciel into a demon, he will never die, so sebastian is bound to serve him for eternity.
and besides! black butler has alot of great characters with great backstories. take agni for example. im not that fond of him, but he had a great backstory.

Sebastian is a perfect demon who can do anything and knows everything. There's no such thing as "effort" to him, he can do everything easily. And I have no clue why he's so fixated on some rich spoiled brat's soul. He doesn't have much of a personality, his character never develops and all in all, he's just a dark version of a Gary Stu character. This is just my personal opinion, but he isn't lovable to me. I can't relate to him or respect him at all.
Lol, I think there are plenty of servant characters in manga/anime who became extremely loyal to someone because that person saved them from death or something.
Do you wanna know who's a lovable servant? Gilbert Nightray from Pandora Hearts. He is loyal to the point it's ridiculous, useless, stupid and he's even afraid of cats. But he has a wonderful backstory that ties in to the main plot pretty strongly, he has hopes and fears, he doesn't always do the best or "right" thing, but tries his best. He's frigging adorable! Also, I think he's actually better looking than Sebastian.

i have friend who feel that way. but black is my favorite hair color, and it has been for a while. when i was six, my favrorite brats doll was jade, my favorite princesses were mulan and jasmine, and my favorite prince was eric. notice a trend? my favorite princess storiesΒ were cindrella and ariel, but appearence wise, i liked mulan and jasmine. i want to grow my hair really long and dye one side black and one side white. still like him though.

grell has more of a role than you think. he has an important job, and life. he has friends, and serves a noteworthy purpose, besides comedic reasons.
