Baldwin Locomotive Works 0-6-0 #26 is nearing completion in the backshops at Steamtown NHS. This locomotive was sidelined in order to straighten bends in the frame caused by almost a century of hard use. Once the frame was repaired it was discovered that almost everything else was bent as well and would no longer fit. The other components have been straightened and the cab temporarily mounted in order to facilitate placement of the last sections of piping yet to be installed. I am told they expect to build a fire in her within the next few weeks and have her out earning her keep in August.
