have you first played the old ones or the new ones? if you first played the new ones then it is normal if you like them better. cause when i play something that used to have a look and then suddenly in the next game the charakters look different... i dont really like it when this happens...

I've been into the series since the first one came out
I really like how ratchet transitioned from ps2 to TOD
but he started to become a little different style later on in the ps3 series, i agree
but i think I'm starting to accept the change
