"Oh hey, it´s great to see some new people in our little town, I hope you and your family will love this beautiful old house at the edge of the woods.
By the way, I don´t want to frighten you, but I guess you didn´t inform yourself of what happened there around 30 years ago? In those days there lived a family like yours, 4 children, parents and grandparents. I can tell you, I´ve never seen happier people before - until this day in late autumn. We all were so shocked when the sheriff told us that the frail grandparents killed the whole family and partly consumed their bodies. We all couldn´t believe that. How is it possible that a human being could freak out that way?
The weirdest thing was that the grandparents were totally confused, just like they weren´t able to understand what they had done. Some of us remembered that especially the old lady often told us about that the house somehow frightened her. Something about whispers in an unknown language they thought they had heard at late night or a quiet laughter. Nobody cared that much about the old lady´s weird nonsense.
The thing is that in the 19th century-just before the house was built there - the people of a whole Indian village were killed and consumed in the same way like this pitiful family. At that time the Indians maintained firmly that this was caused by a Wendigo. An evil ghost whose touch makes you becoming a furious cannibal. Perhaps they thought so because trappers and furriers disappeared again and again in the woods and sometimes a horribly battered body was found.
But honestly, I don´t believe in ghost and such. Those old people were simply mentally ill, suffered from stress or depressions, I don´t know. I hope you´ll enjoy your wonderful house and a warm welcome again."
