Yes, this is a pretty decent shot; lovely clarity on the ripples made by the cat's tongue. If I had to make any critique of this and it is very minor, I would say that some of the detail of the cat's fur is alittle lost due to a dof slightly too low. Most likely this wasn't your fault (bad light affects us all) but in an ideal world te full sumptuous texture of the cat's fur would be on display. Still like I say, a minor fault.

You requested some critique of this photo, here goes. This image was selected for a feature and a favourite because it is very spontaneous. You captured the cat seconds after his/her tongue hit the water as the ripples testify to. The focus is great, spot on the cat. Also the exposure is good, not too bright and not too dark. That way the white parts in the fur didn't get blown. I love the fact that there are some leaves on the puddle. That makes the image and shows that the photo is taken during fall. I also like that you can see the reflection of the cat in the water. The angle and composition are also excellent. You chose to get down lower so not to take a photo from above. All over great job.
