Just a random idea of mine. Honestly I always wanted to compare the various fashion from the last century, though I only picked the ones I liked the most. I didn't pick the 40's cause at that time fashion mostly consisted of uniforms as it was second world war at that time and I didn't pick the 70's 'cause all that disco funk isn't as appealing to me, so there's the double 60's and 80's.

Rarity: I just couldn't resist to put Rarity in the 50's popular poodle skirt, it just makes me squeal, there's just something about those puffy skirts that has me all hyped. Also here's some awesome Elvis music from the 50's: [link]

Fluttershy: Maybe being a go-go girl isn't really Fluttershy's thing, but I didn't know who else from the main six would pull off the look. Again the rock 'n' roll king's music from the 60's: [link]

Pinkie Pie: This is already self-explanatory - Pinkie's crazy attitude and 80's crazy fashion equals some crazy s__t. Also this outfit is partly based on the old one I drew here:[link] . Plus a song from the 80's that I'm practically obsessed about (from Radiorama): [link]

Rainbow Dash: This design turned out to be my favorite out of the six. At first I wanted to go all Joan Jett on RD, but decided against and made her more punk rock and I love it. Twilight Sparkle: I decided to dress Twilight in the popular 60's vintage dress, at some point I also remembered that I could have gone all Marilyn Monroe on her, but I wanted something from the 60's, but her best stuff was from the 50's (at least I think so). Plus here's some wonderful 60's music performed by Dion: [link]

Applejack: Honestly I didn't know what to do with AJ as I already had covered my favorites, but then I remembered about the 30's and the awesome gangster style. I didn't dress AJ in the pub(or whatever it was called) girls look 'cause I thought that it won't suit her, so I made a somehow feminine version of the male look.
