Vocaloid-Lovers collaboration project submission. I chose to do Maika and Yohioloid. I'll finish him later. For now I'm going to agonize over the fact that my coloring still needs work. Like a lot of it. It looks too soft, too nwebie like. It's one of the reasons why my backgrounds look bad. Dang. I haven't had much time to work on it.I had my final exam and graduation (Yay I'm finally a graduate and noooo I have to apply for universities now), then there was the Midsummer's day party and after-party, a movie day (I finally saw a 3D movie in a long time, it was Jurassic World) and I got a new computer, so I had to do a lot of data transferring and re-installing my programs, and I watched a lot of anime (Another, Shiki, Berserk and now Mirai Nikki), had to extract our harvested honey, plus in between I got an inspiration and I started polishing off my own characters. So yea, add some lack of motivation and it would explain my inactivity for two or so weeks.

Ah, coloring. A journey indeed... I'm no expert, so I don't have any concrete advice to give but you're definitely off to a good start for sure. I really like the style of how the colors are put in (kind of like a painting, really) but improving will involve making the transitions between colors and shading smoother. In any case, I really like the picture.

I'll admit that I am kind of trying to make my coloring look like it's painted. I want to make it look more edgy so to say and less smoother. And yes, I do have those problems with colors from time to time (blue is my worst enemy) I think that it did go a bit wrong in this picture, I concentrated too hard on the wrong thing.

Yeah, that can happen. Even though I didn't get very far, I found the color wheel to be pretty useful for stuff like this. Though I wouldn't know the first thing on how to use it, I know it's used for traditional shading like with what you're doing so it might be useful.

Graduation take a lot out of you and that is why I didn't go to my college graduation. Too much effort when I had work the next day.

At first I didn't really want to attend it too, but my mom started pestering me about a dress and shoes that I later had no choice. It really wasn't that bad, only took two and a half hours and we were done.

I love how soft your 'strokes' are. You allow your strokes to be seen, and I like that. I also like the soft glow you gave her

Thank you and yes these past weeks have been busy, there were days when I barely had time to do anything on m computer. All that is left for me is the big headache to find a university to attend to.
Jurassic World was epic, especially the last battle, even my dad agreed that it was good. He's so hard to please sometimes.
