Description Design by Marilynn Leavitt-Imblum's Lavender& Lace
Stitch Count: 159W x 238H
Stitched on 28 count Smokey Pearl Linen
Supplies used; 4 different kinds of Mill Hill Seed Beads. Whisper thread and Treasure Braid gold thread

A birthday present for my mother as she's a child of winter, who absolutely adored it (yay me!).

Fun to stitch, a horror to bead. Especially when using transparent thread, though the effect is totally worth it no doubt about that. You just can't really see what you are doing, sort of.   Especially when you aren't working under proper light conditions. I shan't even mention working with the Whisper thread.

As I have told a fellow stitcher who has done all four seasons; I would not have the patience for all of them beads. At all. Temper tantrum incoming! And my hat off to her!

BUT! I must say when I finished it I did feel a sense of accomplishment because I really do love this design in all its elegance. And the gold thread just gives it that shiny wow factor.

She is beautiful!! That transparent thread is a nightmare to work with, but it makes the beadwork look so amazing. Nicely done

Doing all four seasonal ladies and their Christmas companion is on my list to accomplish at some point, because they are all gorgeous.  Hats off to you for doing a fantastic job with this!

I haven't tried to do the beading with transparent thread - I use a matching floss color (Mill Hill has a list up on their website) instead.  I'm too scared of the transparent stuff.  Kudos to you for getting it done!

I have enough headaches with the plastic metallic...I wouldn't dream of using transparent threads  x_X  I think I used one of the pale grays that I had a hard time seeing when I was stitching for fastening the beads

Transparent thread? eeekkkkkkk! I would have thrown it out and used a matching cotton or metallic thread tbh - well done for sticking with it!
