Sasha Braus's [belated] birthday (July 26th) special~I know, I know I'm days late. The past few days have been busy for me, but still, it's better to finish my work on her and share it with you guys than never at all. Her BDay was on July 26th, and I started to know at that same day, so I immediately, with a bit of excitement used my free time to resort to sketching on our beloved potato girl before I head to the coloring part which was way later.
This series did a heavy-lifting of her cute, hilarious, and badass moments of her and her good spirits. I won't even forget the moment when she selflessly faced a small 3m titan, WITHOUT her gears, WITHOUT any backup, therefore displaying her remarkable strength, all to save a little girl, Kaya, in the village, which made Kaya express that Sasha is the kind of person she wants to be like and looked up to her.
While working on it, I began to think I should've drawn her carrying a potato or maybe surround her with various kinds of food instead of putting her in a uniform because this was supposed to be a birthday special and she had an incredible appetite...
*****SPOILERS for Season 4/Chapter 105*****
but after a devastating moment has befallen to her, I brushed off the idea (but decided to save it for future Sasha fanarts) and decided to keep her in a uniform saluting us with a smile... as a reflection on how much of a wonderful side character she was, to honor her memory.
Rest well, Sasha. We love you forever.

I'm really glad I got an opportunity to create a portrait of her instead of giving up, even though I know I won't get this thing done on time. Sasha is one of my favs in the series so I'm never missing the chance. As I drew her new uniform, I learned a bit deeper details of how the uniforms are designed. I feel like I made tiny errors here and there, and hopefully I'll make it look better and more accurate when I work on it next time.
