Just so you all know I'm not.. dead XD I've been having a horrid art block lately.First off, I know she changed her design, but I wanted to draw the old one anyway. This was just a sketch at first and I didn't think I'd upload it, but I turned out to like the finished result so I did lineart for it and made the colors slightly bluer on the computer. I won't be coloring this, just leaving it this way. I definately could have done better with the pencil coloring but I liked the way it looked so I'm uploading it. Also her eye's just blank because the pose seems kinda.. ethereal, so it looked more fitting being blank white. Mearu simply has one of the most gorgeous designs I've ever seen, and I'm sure the new one, when revealed, will be just as awesome, if not better.

You're right- the picture wouldn't have the same effect if the eye was filled in. It makes Mearu look... more mystical and goddess-like

oh wow, this is absolutely beatiful. First off, I am a big fan of your art, as well as a fan of this particular pose, and I must say you did an amazingly fantastical job of this. I love the way the tail curves behind the body instead of covering up the back legs **i do that** and I love the fur tufts on her hindquearters. Great job.
