Drawn in December 2018
I remember that I looked a few months ago for images of plesiosiro on the net but I found nothing, except illustrations from scientific studies or the book "Fossil Arachnids", so I decided to make mine. Plesiosiro is the only representative of the fossil arachnid order of haptopods. He lived in the Upper Carboniferous, and is believed to be a living animal and feeding on what he found in the Carboniferous forest litter. Plesiosiro is potentially close to our modern pedipalpids (amblypyges, telyphonides and schizomids), which would make it a tetrapulmonate. It is for this reason that I extrapolated that the chelicera (unknown on the fossils) was composed of two articles.
