I loved the photo - which most people here on dA would probably recognise - so I thought I'd try and pen it, which signified the beginning of my holiday now that alllll my exams are over, and I'm blessed with spare time in which to draw and release all the pent up drawing energy

Done with a blue ink biro.

It's not an *exact* replica of the original. However, in my defence, that wasn't necessarily what I was aiming for. I liked the photo but I was happy to accept the way it would develop even if it turned out a little different, as concentration on proportion really wears me down. A good skill to have, obviously, but it still just wears me down and hey, since it's not of a celebrity, there's no respectable 'recognizable' element which I need to adhere to, is there?
