Description On the brink of emptiness

He approached the edge of the cliff and looked down below. He would not fly long but there were about 100 meters, though. How ironic is life. All his life he was afraid to fly and now he’s going to jump from here. God does have sense of humor. He made 2/3 of earth surface cowered with water for the man that has no gills. Wow, that was good! If he weren’t going to jump he would write it down somewhere.
But know what? This world really is beautiful. Warm breeze blowing gently in his face. Any moment now sun will touch the sea and paint it red. Only sound of birds calling one another and hum of waves from below is breaking the silence. Beautiful. But it’s not worth living just because of beauty.
The beauty he saw and the flow of pleasant memories in his head ended as an unintentional smile on his face. He felt something sweet spreading and expanding through his whole body. Same feeling when you’re in love. But why should he feel like that and who was he in love with? He didn’t think about it much and didn’t notice how one thought leaded to another. Suddenly he realized he was thinking about his last girlfriend (wonder what she’s doing now?)
When thinking about her he almost changed his mind and decided to go and call his ex-girlfriend, but suddenly he thought about his friends. This didn’t have the same effect on him as it would on the most part of mankind. That sweet feeling disappeared somewhere in the emptiness that took its place. This feeling of emptiness inside wasn’t new for him. It was traveling along with him through his life. Sometimes it was so heavy that seemed to crash him under its weight. So heavy that sometimes made him scream without a sound. Other unpleasant thoughts followed. Again involuntary he thought about death. Many times he had thought about it as a cure. No more problems and no more feeling of emptiness. But what if all that bullshit about heaven and hell is true. He didn’t felt like visiting any of them.
It kinda sucks that his death won’t change anything at all. Maybe only life of his parents will change a bit. Then again, there are different types of parents. And is it love that will make them sad? It’s more like that feeling when you spend lot of your time on something and then realize that it wasn’t worth it and everything you did was in vain.
If even your parents don’t love you than who does? Looks like everyone really is alone. All 6 billions of us. He smiled bitterly about his own thought.
All the things he thought about these several minutes now burdened him so much that he decided to finely get down to business and finish what he was there for. He looked around. Sun was almost drawn in the sea and he felt no breeze anymore.
He took several steps back.
Ran.
and jumped…

in a moment hang-glider’s wing glanced in sun’s last rays…
