Done for another friend's bday. Tenchu's one of his fave games. Yes, I just used poses from screenshots of the game, but I'm not that versed in ninja figures.[Edit:]
Can anyone see the thumbnail? I can't for some reason.

I can see the thumbnail, and I like the way you captured the scroll style of ancient Japan, and the sketchiness as if it were painted on with ink. Nice.

That's the look I tend to go for when I'm using painter. That old rice paper style thing. It's similar to what I did for my Kyo cg.

What an awesome present for your friend. The way you approached this was just perfect...the lineart style, the colouring, the entirety of the image has a true "ninja" feel to it; it reminds me of the artwork used in the Shinobi PS2 game. I really like how you've done this...the line art is what really wins me over...I am amazed at people that can do artwork like that.

I appreciate that you took the time to write such a nice commentary on one of my works. *__* I find the lineart just makes it easier for the piece to have that sketchy loose quality to it. It also covers mistakes I may have made in the figure, because it takes away the necessity of realism.

I had references for the poses, but I'm glad you like! ^^ Yay Tenchu fan! I think the game is so cool, but I'm terrible at it. I can't sneak up on people, and then they just hack me with their big swords, and I tend to, um, die. ^o^;;;
