Yes, I saw Thor. I loved him in Thor. In my opinion, he was the only watchable character in Thor. He's so adorable in Thor!

Loki was kind of insane but also adorable. I mean, he was really scary when he was talking to BLack Widow but at the same time, I just kept wanting to hug him as well. Loki and Tom Hiddleston are amazing.

I hadn't seen any of the tie-in movies before seeing "Avengers", but things still made sense to me. (Mind you, my girlfriend was next to me and was kind enough to answer any questions I had, but I find I really didn't have that many. Also, any questions I asked were explained by the movie at some point or other. I actually quite like that they did it that way - it made the movie more realistic, for people in real life don't often get a big giant information dump all at once.)
And, of course, great job on Loki! ^_^

Yeah, it's not so much that you don't understand the movie - I went with a friend who hadn't seen any of the tie-in movies either, and she could follow the plot fine. It's more that you get the backstory on all the characters, and you appreciate it more when you know their histories and motivations and things. Avengers was pretty good at letting the audience know what was going on in a gradual manner, like you said, but yeah. Character-wise I was glad I marathoned all the other movies the night before lol.

I know what you mean; I'm currently in the process of watching "Captain America". I've only seen about half an hour so far, but I can already say for certain that I wish "Avengers" had less of Captain America and more of Steve, The Ninety-Pound Asthmatic.
