Ooooh man was this interesting to draw! I've never done a car before, only a motorbike, so it was very informative and a big learning experience. I had fun with it!I drew this for my boyfriend's birthday!
It's the car he's always wanted. I don't know cars haha, but he loved it!I'm quite happy with it!
I used a 2B mechanical pencil mostly, aswell as 6B and 2H graphite pencils. Probably a few others too..and it took around 16-18 hours, over a period of one month.
I edited this photo in photoshop to make it as close to the drawing as possible.

This is a wonderful result from your first car drawing!
I like the composition with the car filling the picture plane at an interesting angle.
Your proportions are good, and you did a fine job on the foreshortening. You did a really good job of capturing the lines and character of the Impreza.
You have a beautiful range of values here with plenty of contrast. And great technique on display here in the use of value changes to show the planes and contours of the body.
It's a very strong piece of work!
It's a sterling piece of work, and i hope it inspires you to draw more cars!

Amazing realism! It actually makes me feel better, to know how long it took you to achieve that level of precision and realism, because I know it would be very difficult for me to do in a pencil drawing.
BTW, do you photograph or scan your drawings? I had been photographing before, but now I use a scanner and it's better quality... although I still sometimes need to adjust the light/contrast to get it to look "right" on the screen.

Oh thank you very much! I sometimes scan and sometimes take photos. I took a photo of this one because I didn't have time to scan, and my scanner is terrible anyway. Unfortunately the photo never reflects the real drawing. I'm sure you understand
