Description
Inspired by Terry Pratchett's novel The Hogfather (go read it). To be more precise, by Ridcully's sentence : "Half my wizards are trying to cheer a Cheerful Fairy"!!!! It's a part of my watercolor quest. I still think it's technically not good enough. Maybe I use a wrong type of paper? Anyway, it's a watercolor, with a little bit of colored pencils and Photoshop adjustments (not good in that). And my scanner sucks.Related content

I love it! it's great! The Chair of Indefinite Studies is perfect! You're good at the totally head-over-heels in love expression. You should do one of the Senior Wrangler and Mrs. Whitlow in Lost Continent next.

I have certainly read that book (more than once) and love Terry Pratchett. This painting suits his world so well. It is such a wonderful and whimsical piece! I love the little details: the irregular bookstack, the patterns of the chairs, the stepping stool for the fairy, and so on. Such a delightful image!

The atmosphere is really great, I like the expression on the wizards face.
You should try all types of watercolour paper...I prefer the thick "rough" paper, you can use much water on that.

Really nice establishment of perspective and depth. I can really tell that the light on the floor is coming from the candles. The shadows of the table legs on the floor and subtle and verrry nice. andd might that be a voodoo doll under the table by any chance?
