In Mesopotamian mythology, Ereshkigal (EREΕ .KI.GAL, lit. "great lady under earth") was the goddess of Irkalla, the land of the dead or underworld. Sometimes her name is given as Irkalla, similar to way the name Hades was used in Greek mythology for both the underworld and its ruler.
Ereshkigal was the only one who could pass judgement and give laws in her kingdom. The main temple dedicated to her was located in Cuthah.
The goddess Inanna refers to Ereshkigal as her older sister in the Sumerian hymn "The Descent of Inanna" (which was also in later Babylonian myth as "The Descent of Ishtar"). Inanna/Ishtar's trip and return to the underworld is the most familiar of the myths concerning Ereshkigal.

It is a good piece, but I must give special mention to the gemstone at her throat - is it a topaz? Or perhaps an opal? Beautiful, anyway!

I liked your take on Ereshkigal. I got the feeling from looking at the image that you had actually read some of her myths.
I do have a few things that you might want to know though.

Ereshkigal is her name in Sumerian, Irkalla is her name in Akkadian. The land she rules is Kur in Sumerian and Irkalla in Akkadian.
"Ereshkigal was the only one who could pass judgement and give laws in her kingdom. The main temple dedicated to her was located in Cuthah."
Ereshkigal had four governors who could pass judgment and administer her laws in the underworld city of Urugal. The temple to her in Kutha (an important religious center in Babylon) would have been second to Nergal. Nergal was one of her governors.
Just thought I'd mention.
